Part I

Oropesa

Small town on the route which leads from Cuzco to Urcos where most of the bread consumed in Cuzco is baked!

 

This map will help you know where all the towns we visited on day 4 are in relation to Cuzco.  We visited Oropesa, Andahuaylillas, Pikillaqta and Tipon.

 

 

 

We were allowed in one of the bakeries to watch the complete bread making process!

 

 

 

Viki does not miss a beat with his video camera!

 

 

The oven is heated with firewood!

 

 

Now we can see the finished product!

 

 

The bread is ready for distribution!

 

 

These are the first customers of the day...  boy, the bread looks wonderful.

 Lauri bought a delicious "fresh" local cheese!

 

 

Another happy customer... nothing better than fresh bread and good cheese!
